Ubud in Bali is also known as Vegan/Vegetarian Paradise, there are more veg restaurants than ordinary ones. I am lucky to call Ubud my second home, as a lot of expats do, there is something in the air that makes you stay there for longer than you expected. You will feel it once you landed in Denpasar.
Today I want to share with your my favorite spots for vegan breakfasts in Ubud area. You will be amazed how delicious food can be and also some of these places will take your breath away with amazing views over the jungles. Enjoy and let us know if you find it useful!
We went there almost every morning since it was very close to our villa and their breakfast options are so yummy! They offer smoothie bowls, avocado toasts, vegan cakes, fresh juices and kombucha! Coffee is also very decent, my favorite combo is Cacao Bowl + Iced Long Black.
Begin your day with something special at Zest! It’s hard to imagine how hard they work to serve you with such a unique dishes. My all time favorite are chocolate pancakes, make sure also to try their healthy shots. If you are lucky to get a spot close to the window you will get an amazing view as a bonus.
3. The most Instagramable Smoothies Bowls –
Yellow Flower Cafe
Located within 2 minutes from my Yoga Studio (Intuitive Flow – highly recommended!) this place surprised me with the most beautiful smoothie bowls ever! I thought these kind of breakfasts are real only on Instagram but luckily everyone can taste these small masterpieces at the Yellow Flower Cafe.
It gets crowded after yoga classes since it’s a perfect spot to take some rest and enjoy the view of Agung volcano.
A lot of people come to Ubud in order to explore the Campuhan Ridge Walk, let me tell you a little secret, the best way to enjoy it – is to take a look from above. For the perfect breakfast meal with overlooking stunning jungle views you should visit The Elephant restaurant. It’s a vegetarian spot but a lot of vegan options available.
Last but definitely not the least, place where I enjoy having my morning coffee and working till brunch. We took nearly 5 kilos of their coffee back home because they are Gods of roasting! Food, drinks, atmosphere are amazing!
However, their famous avo toast is with feta cheese, I am sure you can ask for vegan option (it’s Ubud baby!) . It was my last vegetarian meal before going vegan and it was mouth-melting!
Also they are organizing cool events and I heard cocktails are as good as coffee.
